TEXT: John 14::7-10

*MEMORY VERSE:**I and my Father are one: For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me {John 10:30 and 17:8}
*MESSAGE:**Sometimes ago, someone called me just to ask me who actually the Holy Spirit is. And by the help of the same Personality of Holy Spirit, I was able to clear off the person’s confusion about this third person in the Trinity. But I also know there are still persons like that who still can not comprehend the mystery about {Holy Spirit} this third Person in the Trinity. This is why I am here again to share same brief answer that help the fellow with us via this platform also. Because I know there are several persons who want to genuinely know whose Spirit and the personality the Holy Spirit is. First of all, in order to begin to have proper understanding on the personality called the Holy Spirit, please endeavor to read 2nd Kings 19:22; Job 6:10; Isa. 41:14; Isa. 43:3,15; Isa. 54:5; Mark 1:24 and Luke 4:34. In these scriptures you will see that the Almighty God, or Christ Jesus are called the Holy One even ever before the official coming of the personality of Jesus to the earth, and prior to the appearance of the Holy Spirit {Jesus’s Ghost}which mysteriously occurred after His death, and His resurrection. In most of these above quoted scriptures, we can read that, the person of Holy Spirit is also stated as the Spirit of the Holy one. Moses said
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord” Deutronomy 6:4. And Mark 12:29 says: “And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord”. The same Jesus spoke severally in His teachings that, He is the Father. Also, that He would send the Holy Spirit from the Father. To crown it all, in John 14 when He was clearing the air on who the Father is to Philip, and in today’s memory verses, He said He is the Father: that He and the Father are one. That He came out from the Father. Carefully calculating His statement, this state clear that, He is the Spirit of the God Almighty Father. Listen, God, or the Lord God Jesus, as the Bible points at the Person of Christ Jesus should not be allowed to confuse any person’s mind. If whoever is confused about this mystery in Godliness can calm down to study the scripture well, he or she will comprehend that Jesus is God. And also that, the one and only Almighty God is still the Jesus, or the Holy Spirit whose God in His own divine, but mysterious arrangements appeared to the world as at those different times. The Person of Jesus is in the Personality called the Holy Spirit, or Holy Ghost. So, the Holy Spirit is God’s, at the same time the Spirit, or the Ghost of Jesus the crucified Holy one-Jesus. Though it sounds controversial, but one thing is certain. God isn’t a Confusionist. Without any argument, in other not to contradict the scripture, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God or the Spirit of Jesus. He can also be called the Holy Ghost. Because, grammatically, Ghost is the spirit of the dead which comes around the living again. When Jesus died, He came back. So, His Spirit is called Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit. Even before He died, He {Jesus} promised that when He goes, He will send back to us the Holy Ghost, or the Comforter. While He made this promise, He at the same time called Himself the Father- John 14:26; 15:26 and 16:7. For more proper and clearer understanding on the mystery that surrounds Jesus being God, or God being the personality who came or manifested as Chist Jesus. And on the Holy {Ghost} or Spirit being the Spirit of God, same time the Spirit of Jesus, read this: “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory {1st Timothy 3:16}”. More to come in the next series. Thanks!
